"The limited edition giclee on canvas of Clint Eastwood was originally a sculpture. It is in a technique I developed to make it look 3-D. When you do a regular painting there is only so much you can do to make it look 3-D. With this, I start with a sculpture and then take a high-resolution image of it and paint a background around the image. When I first started doing this there wasn't photoshop, I shot Clint in chrome and then superimposed it with the painted background. It goes back to an image I had of Muhammad Ali when I was little, I never knew if it was a painting or a photograph. That trickery is what I was going for, that element of "I'm not sure what that is, but I like it!''.
