"Mel Brooks
- He's an original, a pioneer in a lot of ways. The roots of his comedy are in
vaudeville and in the sculpture I'm trying to capture that vaudeville,
over-the-top, larger-than-life Mel Brooks. He's a genius, a lot of comedians
don't realize that their stealing a lot of his bits. Everything is kind of
bulbous on him, the cheeks, the eyes, the nose, the head, everything is
really round. I've got him coming out of his skin."
