David's Inspiration
"Jerry Seinfeld is my favorite comedian and his show is my favorite television show. I did this sculpture in 1998, right after the show was over and he went back to stand-up comedy. The feature that stands out to me on Seinfeld is his eyes, they are almost touching, they're so close. Of course his teeth are something people notice too. Right now we have the sculpture in Newport and people always ask, "Has Seinfeld seen this?'' I don't know, but I hope he does someday."
