"When I made this it was during the 2000 presidential race and there were comments that he was "too wooden to be president.''  My original idea was to have a wooden cutout of his body underneath his head and neck,  then a tree in my backyard got hit by lightning and fell and I used part of the trunk for his body. Then fast forward to now and he's an environmentalist and it's perfect!  Gore has very sharp angular features but whenever I think of him I think more of how he talks than how he looks. I hear that deep baritone voice and think of how he talks, how he draws out his sentences."
